Shop Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the shop, offices, restrooms, and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe, sanitary, and organized environment.

Aid with general upkeep of equipment and work areas.

Handle trash removal, floor care, window cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.

Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.

Follow safety protocols, dealership policies, and industry regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace.

Report facility issues or needed repairs promptly to the Shop Manager/Shop Foreman.

Support the operational needs of the service team by maintaining clean work areas and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on productivity, safety, and quality.

Maintain high standards of professionalism and contribute to a positive customer and employee experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance roles is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, cleaning procedures, tools, and equipment is required.
• The ability to follow safety procedures and company policies is essential.
• A strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to assist others are required.
• A dependable team player with a positive attitude is expected.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms.
• Capable of safely working in a shop environment around equipment and machinery.
• Full dexterity and mobility required to operate cleaning equipment and handle tools.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, cleaning chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.

Working Conditions

• Work primarily in an air-conditioned shop, with ongoing exposure to outdoor areas and moving equipment.
