Shop Leader - Golden

About the role

We are seeking a Shop Leader to join our dynamic team at the Golden location of Call Your Mother. As a Shop Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting daily shop operations, leading team members, and ensuring a positive environment for both guests and the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations including preparing the shop to open, executing service, and closing; all at the highest level
• Directly lead shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high team performance
• Serve as an ambassador of CYM VIBES and own all guest experience moments, ensuring satisfaction and exceptional service
• Proactively solve problems and take initiative to keep the shop running efficiently
• Manage and lead team members through regular VIBE Ups, on-the-job training, coaching, and motivation
• Support and enforce CYM's high operational standards by holding yourself and your team accountable to checklists, recipes, and standardized tools
• Maintain cash handling procedures, including processing transactions and daily financial reporting
• Collaborate with your General Manager and fellow leaders to create a positive, inclusive, and efficient work environment
• Ensure daily vendor orders are placed accurately and on time to maintain inventory and prep
• Demonstrate focus on all food safety standards and commitment to a safe shop environment
• Complete required training, including harassment prevention, and reinforce policy compliance with the team; act as a model of compliance in handling incidents, emergencies, and escalating employee or guest issues appropriately
• Work as a FOH Team Member or Kitchen Supervisor on some shifts to stay hands-on and lead by example

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in a shift leader or keyholder role
• ServeSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certification
• Hospitality-oriented and passionate about the guest experience
• Initiative-driven, proactive, and able to think of the big picture
• High-energy, positive can-do attitude that thrives in fast-paced environments
• Treats others with kindness and respect, and is a team player willing to help others
• Works calmly and effectively under pressure; seeks to solve problems
• Communicates clearly and efficiently; proven coaching and leadership skills for a diverse staff
• Willing to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequently bending and reaching overhead
• The role requires manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment, the ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold, and occasional work in tight spaces or outdoor weather conditions
• Employees must maintain near-constant communication with multiple individuals, possess close, distance, and peripheral vision, and be able to occasionally sit, squat, and kneel
• The position also requires working in a constant state of alertness while adhering to safe work practices
