Shop Leader - Chesterbrook

About the role

We’re hiring a Shop Leader at our Chesterbrook location! CYM Shop Leaders partner with management to support daily shop operations. The Shop Leader will motivate and lead team members, uphold standards in the kitchen and front of house, and ensure a safe, positive environment for guests and the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of the shop including preparing the shop to open, executing service, to closing; all at the highest level
• Provide direct leadership during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high team performance
• Serve as an ambassador of CYM VIBES and own all guest experience moments, ensuring satisfaction and exceptional service
• Proactively solve any problems that arise and always take initiative to keep the shop running at its best, most efficient capacity
• Manage and lead team members through regular VIBE Ups, on-the-job training, coaching, and motivation to deliver great guest experiences
• Support and enforce CYM’s high operational standards by holding yourself and your team accountable to checklists, recipes, and standardized tools
• Maintain cash handling procedures, including processing transactions and daily financial reporting
• Collaborate with your General Manager and fellow leaders to create a positive, inclusive, and efficient work environment
• Auxiliary work as FOH Team Member or Kitchen Supervisor on some shifts to stay hands-on and lead by example

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in a shift leader or keyholder role
• ServeSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certification
• Hospitality-oriented and passionate about the guest experience
• Initiative, proactive, and able to think of the big picture
• High-energy, positive attitude, thrive in fast-paced environment
• Treats others with kindness and respect
• Team player, willing to help others
• Works calmly and effectively under pressure; seeks to solve problems
• Communicates clearly and efficiently; proven coaching and leadership skills for a diverse staff
• Flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, twist, reach (including overhead), and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift
• Manual dexterity to safely operate equipment, tools, and technology
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas
• Ability to see, hear, speak, read, and communicate effectively while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following safe work practices
• Ability to work in confined spaces, occasionally outdoors when required by the role
