Shop Hand

About the role

The Shop Hand position at SECURE involves general facility upkeep, maintenance, and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials. This role is based in Casper, Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Wash equipment that returns from the field
• General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using a hand truck
• Load / Unload trucks for maintenance and delivering supplies
• Perform general service/maintenance work, including operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools
• Inspect all assembly parts and report defective material or questionable component conditions to management
• Assist the Facility Supervisor
• Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated
• Perform general housekeeping of the facility
• Perform other general labor duties as required

Requirements

• Grade 12 or GED
• Previous washing or shop labourer experience
• Previous Forklift/front-end loader/ Crane experience (asset)
• Supply drivers abstract with the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 100lbs for extended periods
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to perform the job productively, effectively, and efficiently under tight deadlines
• Positive communication and interpersonal skills
