About the role
The Shop Hand position at SECURE involves general facility upkeep, maintenance, and organization of equipment, vehicles, and materials. This role is based in Casper, Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Wash equipment that returns from the field
- General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using a hand truck
- Load / Unload trucks for maintenance and delivering supplies
- Perform general service/maintenance work, including operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools
- Inspect all assembly parts and report defective material or questionable component conditions to management
- Assist the Facility Supervisor
- Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated
- Perform general housekeeping of the facility
- Perform other general labor duties as required
Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED
- Previous washing or shop labourer experience
- Previous Forklift/front-end loader/ Crane experience (asset)
- Supply drivers abstract with the ability and willingness to obtain a CDL
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 100lbs for extended periods
- Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to perform the job productively, effectively, and efficiently under tight deadlines
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
