Shop Foreman

MV Transportation is seeking a Shop Foreman to manage all maintenance aspects of the maintenance operation during shift, including preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance and utility staff
• Ensure all contractual requirements are achieved
• Handle daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting responsibilities
• Manage the maintenance program budget
• Train and develop maintenance staff
• Collaborate with the Fleet Manager in day-to-day operations
• Work with air conditioning systems, transmissions, electrical diagnosis, emission control systems, and wheelchair lifts

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments
• Experience tracking and controlling parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers
• Ability to manage financial and accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation
• Strong written and oral communication skills for all staff levels
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
• Technical competence in heavy diesel vehicle repair and preventive maintenance
• Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, candor, and tact
• Diesel experience preferred
• ASE certified truck or school bus preferred
