About the role
Norm Reeves Ford is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Shop Foreman to lead one of the highest-volume Ford service departments in California.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Ford technicians.
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and repair quality daily.
- Assist technicians with advanced diagnostics and difficult repairs.
- Work closely with Dispatch to balance workloads and maximize shop productivity.
- Manage aging repair orders and reduce shop WIP.
- Improve Fix Right the First Time (FRFT) and reduce comebacks.
- Maintain compliance with Ford warranty requirements, including SPW, LTIS, SSSC, engine and transmission approvals.
- Monitor Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) completion, photo, and video compliance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching meetings with technicians.
- Track technician STARS training and certification progress.
- Support and develop Apprentice Technicians through their training program.
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Warranty Administrators, Dispatch, and Management.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
Requirements
- Five or more years of Ford dealership technician experience.
- Current Ford Senior Master Technician certification preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Extensive experience with FDRS, IDS, PTS, Workshop Manual, OASIS, and Ford warranty procedures.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to lead, coach, and motivate technicians.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
