About the role

The Shipyard Purchasing Agent position at Edison Chouest Offshore is responsible for managing the procurement process for materials and supplies used in shipbuilding and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for materials and supplies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Research and evaluate potential vendors
• Prepare purchase orders and manage delivery schedules
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder items as needed
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate material supply

Requirements

• 5 years shipyard purchasing experience
• Preferred: 10 or more years of shipyard purchasing experience
• Preferred: International purchasing experience
