Shipping/Trailer Spotter - 1st shift

Overview

This is a 3rd shift Trailer Spotter position operating out of 85 dock doors, moving 28-foot and 53-foot trailers on and off dock doors using an Ottawa yard tractor. On average, 85 trailers are moved per 10-hour shift, with up to 110 during busy periods. The role requires working on the dock if needed, covering off-shifts for vacations with notice, and working in all types of weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Understanding of Third Party Carrier equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction from several Supervisors
• Ability to work safely and well with others
• Willingness to work on the dock if needed
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions

Pay

$18.31–$24.90 per hour, plus a 10% shift premium for 3rd shift, with fast-track pay increases and overtime opportunities available.

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday (3rd shift). Full time.
