Shipping Handler - 1st Shift
About the role
As a Shipping Handler, you will be responsible for the supply of replenishment, metering, and sorting of prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions. You will perform regular packing, bulk packing, and cold packing, and be cross-trained on other shipping functions as assigned within the facility. This role ensures accuracy and quality standards are met when performing all shipping functions and metering prior to automated packing, and the sack changing process in the Eurosort. Acts as a liaison across multiple business units for shipping best practices and problem solving.
To be successful in this role you must be able to stand for the duration of your shift, reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs. During your time at CVS, you may be required to work multiple job functions in a day, providing opportunities to apply for future promotional roles and advance in your career.
Responsibilities
- Supply replenishment, metering, and sorting of prescription orders
- Perform regular packing, bulk packing, and cold packing
- Cross-train on other shipping functions within the facility

- Handle sack changing process in the Eurosort
- Act as a liaison for shipping best practices and problem solving across business units
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Detail-oriented and task-focused
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime or extended work weeks when needed
Qualifications
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Warehouse, Fulfillment Center, and/or Inventory Environment
- Experience working in a Mail Order Pharmacy
- Basic familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, handheld scanners)
Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:15am–2:45pm
Saturday: 7:30am–4:00pm
Thursday and Sunday off
Anticipated weekly hours: 40
Time Type: Full time
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $16.00 – $28.84 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
