Shipping Technician - Day Shift

About the role

The Shipping Technician manages daily shipping and distribution operations, ensuring timely order fulfillment and proper product labeling and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date.
• Prioritize duties with help from Supervisor.
• Cook up coordination with all departments to ensure customer orders are shipped in a timely manner.
• Match product and customer orders to ensure proper quantities and labeling.
• Prepare UPS/FedEx shipments according to customer requirements.
• Cook up and help with routine and exception cycle counting.
• Aid in inventory activities including cycle counting process.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including tracking information and shipping documentation.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during the shipping process.
• Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Communicate with carriers, customers, and team members about any issues or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
• Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to life heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking, inventory, and record keeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Pay

$19.00/hr with increases based on forklift certifications.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm.
