Shipping Technician

General Summary

This position supports the Planning and Quality departments through the preparation and distribution of shipping documents for hardware as required by customer PO and specification. This position maintains all part specific documents associated with hardware in process of manufacturing, outside processing, and testing. This position generates shipping documents utilizing various computer software programs.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports the Planning and Quality departments through the preparation and distribution of shipping documents for hardware as required by customer PO and specification.
• Maintains all part specific documents associated with hardware in process of manufacturing, outside processing, and testing.
• Generates shipping documents utilizing various computer software programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of computer software programs used for document preparation and distribution.
• Strong organizational skills to manage and update part-specific documents.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with co-workers and customers.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• An AA degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read reports and use computer.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers.
• Ability to write, type, use telephone system, and operate office machines.
• Ability to climb stairs, stoop, and reach to access department materials.
• Ability to exert up to thirty-five pounds of force to move objects.
