Shipping Team Lead 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Lead, communicate, and direct distribution associates through daily activities focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.
• Perform process audits to ensure compliance with documented procedures.
• Hands-on participation requiring high floor presence to direct daily activities and timely movement of associates for maximum efficiency.
• Capture daily performance activity to determine effective methods for increasing performance.
• Monitor systems and communicate with internal/external customers to ensure timely completion of work.
• Attend and assist with “Pre-Shift” meetings to share information, discuss safety, quality, daily plans, and staffing needs.
• Provide feedback and input to supervisors regarding associates’ performance, behavior, and attendance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and always use appropriate PPE.
• Other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced distribution environment with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior leadership experience and WMS knowledge preferred.

Technical & Physical Requirements

• Proficient in basic computer skills, warehouse systems, and power industrial equipment.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing demands.

Professionalism & Flexibility

• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates attention to detail.
• Flexible to work different shifts or overtime with minimal notice.
