Shipping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Work with the Logistics Manager to identify priorities for the Logistics team.
• Manage a team of forklift operators to perform the duties assigned to meet the priorities set.
• Safeguard proper loading and unloading of trailers.
• Ensure production lines are stocked and prepared to run.
• Conduct cycle counts on a weekly basis.
• Electronically verify hours worked by the Logistics team on a daily and weekly basis.
• Approve vacation requests as workload dictates.
• Ensure the warehouse area is kept clean and organized.
• Serve as a backup to the Logistics Manager.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a manufacturing and shipping environment required.
• Ability to multi-task and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to supervise through coaching, inspiring employees to perform at their best.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with a highly diverse environment.
• Ability to retain technical information.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Products and experience with diverse shipping platforms.
• Experience with Amtech would be an advantage.
• Self-starter and team player.
• General high level of enthusiasm and creative ability.
