Shipping Supervisor 2nd Shift - W19

About the role

RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, supervise staff, and manage shifts. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assign work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, ensuring customer specifications and delivery schedules are met.
• Oversee loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.
• Supervise local, regional, and OTR drivers, communicate updates and workflow changes.
• Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials, alerting relevant parties to any issues.
• Process shipment paperwork, including scanning BOL's, ensuring accuracy of shipments against paperwork.
• Maintain and update the Tee Card board and TMW system.
• Communicate daily work flow, issues, and customer concerns via email.
• Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, adhering to OSHA and RJW policies.
• Monitor and complete computer data entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, correcting as needed.
• Monitor overtime hours to meet department requirements.
• Perform building checks daily, notifying the Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems, and assist with maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines, and provide AIB training for handling food products.
• Complete checklists for building, equipment, and safety, issuing corrective actions or work orders as needed.
• Handle accident reporting, care of injured employees, and notify HR and management of emergency actions.
• Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by the Warehouse Manager or COO.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years previous warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.
• Dispatch experience and dock supervision experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software a plus.
• Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of H.S. diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Efficient problem-solving skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including data entry.
• Good judgment.
• Versatile and detail-oriented.
