About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee outbound shipping activities for Breakers & Modules and play a key role in ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. This is an opportunity to combine leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive customer satisfaction and business success.

In this role, you will lead daily shipping operations, support team development, maintain inventory accuracy, and champion safety and quality standards. You will also identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize performance across the shipping function.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities, including picking, packing, labeling, and loading.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of shipping associates.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate shipment of products to meet customer requirements.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance throughout the shipping department.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
  • Partner with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to streamline operations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations.
  • 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
  • Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
