Shipping Supervisor 2nd Shift - W11

About the role

RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assign work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, keeping in mind customer specifications, up to and including driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.
• Oversee the loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.
• Supervise and communicate with Local, Regional, and OTR drivers, ensuring updates and workflow changes are communicated effectively.
• Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials, alerting relevant parties to any issues.
• Ensure the processing of shipment paperwork is accurate and efficient, including scanning of BOL's.
• Maintain and update the Tee Card board and TMW system.
• Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries as needed, implementing any required actions.
• Ensure the safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, adhering to OSHA and RJW policies.
• Monitor and approve shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and maintain equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations, addressing any issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines, and provide AIB training for handling food products.
• Handle accident reporting, care for injured employees, and notify HR and management of any emergency actions.
• Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by the Warehouse Manager or COO.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years previous warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.
• Dispatch experience and dock supervision experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software is a plus.
• Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of H.S. diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some college education preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in computer skills, including data entry.
• Versatile and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
