Shipping Specialist

About the role

As a Shipping Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products reach customers safely and efficiently. This position involves packaging equipment and parts, maintaining accurate supplier records, and coordinating material transfers between plants. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong multitasking skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Package and crate medium to large-size equipment and spare or replacement parts
• Clean and prepare equipment and parts for packaging
• Ensure proper inspections are complete before beginning the packaging and crating process
• Build skids and crates for custom equipment
• Manage stock skid and crate inventory
• Use forklift for loading and unloading trucks and general warehousing
• Use Epicor ERP system to record hours and ensure the order is progressing
• Ensure warehouse is accessible, safe, organized, and clean
• Assist in transferring materials between plants and warehouses using company truck

Requirements

• Able to use Windows-based computer programs
• General carpentry or construction skills for crate building preferred but willing to train the right individual
• Self-motivated to work productively, efficiently, and prioritize duties
• Available to work 1st shift every weekday, overtime, and Saturdays as needed
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate with other internal departments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Electrical pallet jack or forklift experience preferred but not essential
