Shipping Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments by reviewing job travelers and inspection paperwork for completeness and accuracy, obtaining supporting documentation from database and reviewing against ERP system, and preparing box for shipment
• Process shipment in ERP system by inputting data from the job traveler
• Process miscellaneous shipments
• Write purchase orders for outside supplier operations and process receipts upon return
• Issues sub-components to manufacturing

Requirements

• A high-school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Previous shipping/receiving experience is preferred
• Strong computer skills, preferably with experience in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system are required
• An attention to detail and the ability to problem solve are required
• The ability to work independently with minimal guidance within a fast, team-based work environment is required
• Strong communication skills needed to interact with internal customers, as well as external customers, at all levels within the company are required
