Shipping & Receiving Technician - Install Department - North Building

About the Role

Performs shipping, receiving, and stockroom functions. These functions include pulling items from stock, locating items in stock, and performing associated system transactions. Responsible for shipping and receiving parts and materials, disposition of those parts and materials, reading blueprints, and using various types of measuring devices. Basic computer skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of shipping, working as part of a team, and maintain prompt daily attendance.
• Take direction from supervision to complete orders in a timely manner.
• Read work orders and understand technical documents required for the job.
• Operate mechanical equipment efficiently and learn all job aspects as required.
• Maintain a productive and non-disruptive work ethic, minimizing scrap or rework.
• Follow all company safety rules and policies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Operate tooling and equipment as specified to fulfill job requirements.
• Perform sub-assembly tasks, including assembly of various items.
• Package items for shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior shipping experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Exceptional attendance record.
• Ability to climb ladders and sit/stand as needed for job tasks.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

• Stand on a concrete floor for the majority of the shift (excluding breaks).
• Lift and/or push up to 50 lbs., with most lifts from floor to waist (approximately 48”).
• Reach and grab parts up to 10 lbs.
• Climb ladders up to 5’ in height.
• Perform functions requiring crouching, squatting, kneeling, and occasional crawling.
• Good hand dexterity and balance to operate necessary equipment.
• Daily use of all five senses to maintain safety for self and the team.
