Delivery and Installation Technician

Hours: 7:30am–8:00am start time; day ends when the route is completed.

Pay: $20.00 per hour plus tips.

Location: 10759 Hampshire Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55438.

About the role

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and/or Delivery Manager, the Delivery & Installation Technician I delivers and installs product in a professional, courteous, and safe manner to leave a positive final impression with customers. Additional duties include shipping and receiving of product.

Responsibilities

• Load the delivery truck and verify that the correct product is loaded to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver product into customers’ homes or facilities safely to avoid damage and injuries.
• Assemble product correctly and efficiently to ensure safe working order upon delivery.
• Maintain a safe driving record and a DOT card to drive company vehicles.
• Foster cooperative working relationships with employees, customers, owners, and vendors.
• Deliver and remove product for state fairs, home & garden shows, model homes, and other special events.
• Follow all safety policies and perform regular inspections of company vehicles.
• Ensure timely invoicing of all deliveries and installations.
• Safeguard and authorize use of fuel cards and company-issued credit cards.
• Complete other projects as assigned.
• Maintain work environment to 5S standards.
• Be punctual: start work, return from lunch, and take breaks on time.
• Complete all paperwork and database entries accurately and thoroughly.
• Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of delivery and assembly experience with a strong customer service background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for local travel.
• Subject to pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks; must pass MVR checks to drive for the company.
• Must successfully complete DOT certification to drive on behalf of the company.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally, and 200+ lbs as a team lift or with material handling equipment.
• Climb a ladder, grasp small objects, and have visual acuity for operating mechanical tools.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, and reach.
