Shipping & Receiving Technician
About the role
You will read, understand, and use Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMI’s), Job-Safety Analysis’ (JSA), and schedules to accomplish daily production tasks. You will support and participate in current and new safety initiatives/policies as business needs arise. You will ensure customer shipments are filled on time and in the correct quantities based on the purchase order requirements. You will ensure inventory accuracy by performing basic math and maintaining an organized workspace. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to complete tasks on-time while meeting all safety and quality requirements. You will perform the necessary steps required for shipping and receiving in computer systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Oracle and Wavefront. You will have the basic knowledge and understanding of fork trucks and associated material handling equipment.
Responsibilities

- Ensure customer shipments are filled on time and in the correct quantities based on the purchase order requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by performing basic math and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Complete tasks on-time while meeting all safety and quality requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform the necessary steps required for shipping and receiving in computer systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Oracle and Wavefront.
- Operate fork trucks and associated material handling equipment.
Requirements
- A High School diploma / GED is required.
- Ability to read, comprehend and understand work instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to operate fork truck, electric hoist, scales, and label machines.
- Comfort with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching, climbing and capable of lifting 40lbs.
- Ability to wear a full face or half face respirator.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role.
