Shipping & Receiving-Material Handler 9am-5pm

Position Description

Title: Material Handler
Department: Operations
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Principal Accountabilities

• Utilizes powered industrial trucks to move raw materials to production lines.
• Organizes assigned work area and stages finished product as per supervisor's instructions.
• Tracks and sorts inventory while loading trailers for outbound shipment and ensures accuracy of materials and products entering and exiting the production facility.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Relieves in production as assigned and trained.
• Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with the utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.

Essential Skills And Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years manufacturing experience, including previous powered industrial truck experience required.
• Licensed for Powered Industrial Truck usage under IPG protocols.
• Must have the ability to meet objectives with minimum supervision.
• Must have basic computer skills, math skills, and English written communication skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion.
