Shipping & Receiving Lead - 1st Shift

About the role

Responsible for the daily operation of the Shipping & Receiving department. Expedites paperwork for deliveries and shipments, verifies accuracy of information, and notifies suppliers of weight received variances. Processes goods receipts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cooler and freezer conditions at the beginning of the shift and during the day
• Sign-in/out truck drivers, gather pertinent information, and give instructions to drivers
• Verify Bill of Lading matches Certificate of Analysis before receiving
• Verify all lot numbers on all combos received
• Receive meat combos based on priorities from production
• Delegate assignments to employees and verify assignments are accomplished
• Enter the Shipping information in SAP system
• Ensure Receiving scale is working properly and calibrate daily
• Schedule inbound/outbound appointments
• Verify all Shipping and Receiving paperwork
• Verify employee initials are entered correctly
• Process goods receipts
• Enter all information in GSQA website
• Help perform weekly cycle counts of finished product and packaging materials (outside Box inventory)
• Inspect and recharge forklift batteries
• Responsible for trailer movements or verify changes
• Perform freezer inventory
• Rotate employee job assignments
• Ensure all employees follow GMP’s and Safety practices
• Ensure the Spotter is in good working condition
• Investigate internal incidents and report to the Supervisor immediately
• Ensure only authorized personnel drive the Forklifts
• Ensure employees complete the Forklift inspection sheet daily
• Conduct 5S Audits
• Ensure the inside and outside dock area is cleaned
• Maintain the finished goods freezer cleaned
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Forklift certified
• At least 1 year of job experience
