Shipping, Receiving, Driver

This is a combined position covering shipping, receiving, and product etching. Associates must be proficient in all three functions, as duties are interchangeable. The role ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper receipt of materials, and precise product etching following customer-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Pull product from stock and prepare it for delivery to customers per written instructions.
• Accurately receive supplier components, customer returns, and in-process materials sent for outside processing.
• Etch tool numbers, revision numbers, job numbers, material grades, and shipment dates into parts using customer-specific published guidelines and the Cobalt Pro Laser etching machine.
• Maintain and update the customer-specific database in the Cobalt etching machine.
• Move and handle product using power and manual pallet jacks, electric power jacks, hand pallet jacks, and Hilo equipment.
• Lift containers between skids and transfer product between containers while adhering to safety requirements.
• Maintain proper product identification, documentation, and storage locations to prevent mixing or contamination.
• Answer customer telephone calls with courtesy, tact, and patience regarding deliveries and quality.
• Use computer programs to retrieve, print, and document transactions, ensuring traceability.
• Complete required documentation accurately and participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
• Work with minimal supervision and utilize UPS, Federal Express, and US mail processing equipment as needed.
• Pack and prepare skids for motor freight shipment, create bills of lading, and communicate with freight carriers.
• Follow appropriate work instructions for all tasks, including non-conformance procedures for defective conditions.
• Keep the work area organized and clean, observe all safety regulations, and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver 35 pounds on a skid multiple times per hour.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor, up to 25 times per hour.
• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
