Shipping/Receiving/Driver

This position is a temporary assignment managed in partnership with our staffing agency. All initial screening and payroll processing will be facilitated through the agency during the contract period. Shipping/Receiving/Driver Job Summary Primary duty is to support production control group doing packaging and shipping duties along with inventory stocking and picking and driving of company van. Essential Functions Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Attach labels and prepare packaging. Support the shipment of goods produced.Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Maintain the work area/equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.Delivers and picks up materials from local suppliers using a company vehicle. (Please note: Temporary employees will not operate company vehicles until they are converted to full‑time employees.) Qualifications And Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.One year of relevant experience, preferred. Other Required Skills And Abilities Valid Driver's license and acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirementsForklift experience is preferred; forklift certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained throughout employmentAbility to read and accurately interpret pick tickets and similar inventory documentsAttention to detail and demonstration of accurate counting, measurement, and associated recordkeepingProfessional written and verbal communication skills (English)Consistently legible handwriting (English)Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervisionTeam oriented with effective communication skillsERP experience is preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment Role To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodation: Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, stand for long periods to perform job dutiesRegularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 poundsFrequently bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneelAccurately distinguish colors, letters, and numbersVisual acuity to interpret readings on gauges and other measuring devices Working Conditions Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to: Moderate NoiseExcessive noise, hearing protection required (occasionally)Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (occasionally)Extreme temperatures (occasionally)Sharp instruments including box cutters, scissors, and other tools used in packaging/shipping The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear is required. This position is classified as safety-sensitive. Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Compensation Is Determined By Relevant Experience, Skills, Certification.
