Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Contingent)

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and documenting materials per Navy and DoD standards.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and inventory records.
• Cook with warehouse staff, logistics personnel, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Ensure proper storage of materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Support inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping/receiving area.
• Report discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors promptly.
• Aid with logistics documentation and data entry into Navy logistics systems (e.g., R-Supply, ERP).

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active Secret Clearance
• 1–3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Familiarity with DoD or Navy logistics procedures preferred
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems)
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience supporting Navy or DoD logistics contracts
• Knowledge of Navy supply systems and documentation
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Pay

$47,500 - $50,000 per year

Compensation for positions at Centurium varies depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
