The role

  • Quote and coordinate both domestic and international shipments directed by sales, logistic supervisor and other departments as needed
  • Inspect and perform receiving duties. This will include, but not limited to, finished goods, sale for resale items, and raw materials.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and validate the integrity of inventory against Easy Warehouse System.
  • Catalog and organize sale for resale items and keep a running inventory to validate inventory system. This will include regular reorganization and labeling as needed to keep easy identification.
  • Pull and package shipments on a regular basis
  • Perform bidding and purchasing activities as directed
  • Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per company procedures.
  • Weigh products and record weight and other data in product labels.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic.
  • Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintain forklift equipment by daily inspections. Form to be filled out and turned into the Shipping and Receiving Manager to make determination on calling in for repair.
  • Maintain material handling equipment by refueling and other necessary actions, and record all information on log sheet.
  • Record information regarding movements of supplies, materials and finished products.
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
  • Store the products in proper places in warehouse.
  • Transport products to and from warehouse and distribution centers.
  • Deliver products to various units in safely and timely manner.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and on call as needed
  • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

What you will bring to the role

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION: N/A
  • Minimum Experience: At least 3-5 years of shipping experience with some inventory control responsibilities
  • Required Certifications/Licenses: Forklift certification (can be trained OTJ but experience preferred)
