Shipping & Receiving Clerk

About the role

Controls Southeast Inc., a business within the AMETEK® Process and Analytical Instruments Division, designs and manufactures process heating solutions and sulfur process equipment for the chemical, petrochemical, plastics, and refining process industries.

Responsibilities

• Cook up daily shipments by reviewing packing lists, monitoring credit holds, and ensuring orders are completed by required ship dates.
• Prepare, package, and ship materials, including creating bills of lading (BOLs), labels, and required shipping documentation.
• Obtain freight quotes, schedule carrier pickups, and confirm/post shipments.
• Maintain shipment tracking reports and provide shipping estimates, weights, dimensions, and crate specifications for upcoming orders.
• Cook up domestic and international transportation requirements, including truck and container needs.
• Package shipments for inspection and provide shipment measurements for customer and logistics requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 Years experience with domestic and international shipping
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word and Data Entry
• Attention to detail, dependability, organization, communication, safety awareness, ability to follow process, teamwork
