About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments at the Service Center while supporting other center operations during non-peak hours. This role requires a team-oriented individual who takes initiative to assist where needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of Stanley Black & Decker shipping procedures to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment and confirm information against invoices, orders, or other records.
• Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and recording shortages.
• Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials at all times.
• Correspond with shippers and customers to resolve damages and shortages.
• Handle customer service interactions, including answering phones and conducting sales at the counter.
• Enter packing slip information into the computer to acknowledge receipt of goods in the purchase order and processing database.
• Cover the front counter for CSR breaks and during peak hours.
• Uphold Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) goals for the center.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work a regular schedule of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to meet customer demands.
• High degree of integrity and accountability.
