About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments at the Norcross Service Center while assisting other departments during non-peak hours. This role requires a team player who takes initiative to support operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of Stanley Black & Decker shipping procedures to verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment and confirm details against invoices, orders, or other records.
• Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and recording shortages.
• Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials.
• Correspond with shippers and customers to resolve damages or shortages.
• Handle customer service interactions, including phone and counter sales/service.
• Achieve Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) goals for the center.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following prescribed safety regulations.
• Interpret packing slips and enter accurate information into the computer system to acknowledge receipt of goods.
• Cover the front counter for CSR breaks and during peak hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work a regular 40-hour schedule (1st shift, Monday–Friday) with additional hours as needed to meet customer demands.
• Operate with integrity and accountability.
