Duties And Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.
- Inspect shipments for damage and defects.
- Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack, and handcart.
- Read and fill requisitions for stock items.
- Verify accuracy of orders received.
- Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of fork lift.
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, etc.
- Detect needed repairs on vehicles and equipment by following established inspection procedures.
- Work with all department in order to guarantee quality and accuracy of items shipped and items received.
- Backup scheduler of shipments and data entry.
- Participate in all physical inventories
Required Qualifications
- A high school graduate or equivalent GED certification.
- Six months to one year experience in production environment.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Must be self-motivated and have good organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain fork lift certification.

- Frequent talking and hearing.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Frequent exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat.
- Frequent noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
