Shipping/Receiving Assistant I

Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming shipments, route packages for delivery, and keep records of incoming and outbound shipments.
- Operate basic equipment in the processing and maintenance of shipments.
- Verify shipments against authorized purchase orders and identify and report any damage or discrepancies to management.
- Record outgoing shipment data, including weight, shipping charges, etc.
- Examine outbound shipments to ensure they meet specifications for the rate they are being shipped.
- Distribute/stock packages and supplies in a timely manner.
- Make deliveries as required.
- Manage and maintain the technical contents and accuracy of the ECC Bookstore website.
- Process internet orders received through the ECC Bookstore website.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year previous shipping/receiving experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Knowledge of internet commerce and personal computers including order processing from receipt of order to shipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Pay
The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable. The annual salary range is $34,966 to $40,285 for a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 9.
