Shipping/Receiving 3 2nd Shift

About the Role

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Shipping and Receiving Assembler in our Electric Heat business, you will prepare product for export and receive materials and goods needed for business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, offering a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort incoming goods and disperse them to the proper personnel/department.
• Administer all paperwork associated with the department, including packing slips, freight tickets, factory orders, and bills of lading.
• Validate all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Prepare all outgoing shipments in accordance with shipping standards for weight and crating specifications.
• Maintain UPS shipments and online system.

Requirements

• One to three months of related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Standing for extended periods; using hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequent walking, talking, or hearing.
• Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
• Work environment is usually very loud.
