About the role
Prepares items for shipment using correct methods and records incoming and outgoing packages properly.
Responsibilities
- Verifies order from ShipStation and matches up TRF with shipping labels that they print.
- Prepares items for shipment, including assembling contents of outgoing packages in perfect condition.
- Wraps goods and packages in an envelope or a box depending on the number of kits.
- Receives incoming shipments, checks them in, and puts them in their proper place.
- Packs, addresses, and ships materials.
- Prepares waybills and related paperwork for commercial and other shipments.
- Ships out orders using ShipStation and UPS software, mailing machine.
- Operates computer, mailing machine, and printers.
- Prepares kit components requested by different doctors.
- Assembles and builds different kits, ensuring shelves are stocked for the next day.
- Labels blood pour-off tubes, urine cups, kit boxes, UPS lab packs, and UPS envelopes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent GED.
- Courses in typing and business arithmetic preferred.
Skills
- Ability to read and write clearly.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas.
- Knowledge of different shipping methods such as ShipStation and UPS.
Physical Requirements
- Required to sit for 50% and stand for 15% of the time.
- Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects of up to 40 lbs.
- Bending and stooping about 15% of the time.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit for periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
