Shipping Prep & Forklift

Duties & Responsibilities

• Captures and sorts orders by PO, customer, and customer locations.
• Prepares and processes door prepping locations for consolidation.
• Stacks and downstacks pallets of doors to customer shipping quantity specifications.
• Verifies that the doors and jetta marks/species on the doors match the tickets.
• Inspects the paint edge quality of the doors.
• Directs lift drivers on where to stage pallets of doors.
• Combines/builds pyramid door stacks for each customer using standard operating procedures.
• Transports and wraps doors for shipment.
• Communicates with upstream/downstream channels regarding doors shipping needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Excellent memory recall and strong planning and organizational skills.
• Able to comprehend and retain large amounts of data and maintain high attention to details.
• Reads and interprets schedules, uses a tape measure to 1/16" precision, and works with a sense of urgency.
• Manual lifting, sliding, flipping, and stacking of materials or doors (up to 100 lbs.), including bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
• Requires depth perception and manual dexterity.
• Works in a fast-paced environment requiring constant recall of door staging and location.
• Strong communication skills to direct drivers and team members, and to communicate with upstream and downstream departments.
• Mechanically inclined and proficient in reading and writing English.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and maintaining good attendance and safety records.
• Displays solid teamwork abilities.
