Work Location: 2727 Venture Dr. Janesville, WI – 1st shift only.
About the role
Transport product, raw materials, and other items efficiently and safely within the manufacturing facility. Employees rotate positions as needed to support operational success.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shipping schedules; stage doors by sorting length, width, customer, and core type to create correct stacks for shipping.
- Stage wrapped product for shipping.
- Conduct pre-shift forklift inspection to ensure safety and operational compliance.
- Fuel forklifts as required.
- Operate forklift safely throughout the facility, adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Pull production wrap lines as required.
- Consolidate orders for shipping.
- Receive items into the facility and ship items accurately to customers.
- Pay close attention to detail when pulling items from the warehouse based on work orders.
- Work extended hours and overtime as needed, including weekends if required by business needs.
- Replace pallets/runners to maintain a safe working environment.
- Understand shipping documents to assess space requirements for product.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Preferably one year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day.
- Knowledge of forklift operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to organize and maintain detailed records.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Regular attendance and timeliness are essential to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.
- Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written.
Skills
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic.
- Desirable (but not required): Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
Pay
The hourly pay rate for this position is $21.00 (specific to Janesville; may vary by location).
