Shipping Pole Lift Truck Operator

STARK is seeking a Shipping LTO for the 1st shift at our Calhoun, Georgia warehouse. Hiring/Retention Bonus up to $1,000 within the first year; details provided during the interview.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all shipments have proper labels and are packaged correctly
• Keep accurate shipping records
• Organize pick-up schedules
• Transfer goods between warehouses
• Interact with outside companies
• Prepare detailed and accurate packing lists and Bills of Lading to accompany shipments
• Drive a lift truck (Fork & Pole)
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Good time management, organizational, and priority-setting skills
• Ability to remain composed when faced with competing priorities
• Ability to manage multiple assignments or tasks through to completion

Physical Demands

• Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• May often require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Regularly around moving machinery as well as marked changes in temperature and humidity

Work Environment

This position requires work in a warehouse/loading dock setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, as well as standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.
