Shipping Operator

Essential Job Functions

• Mental Ability: Read orders and prepare reports legibly and properly. Communicate orally with all personnel in the plant. Operate a calculator for basic mathematical computations. Basic typing skills for computer use.
• Physical Ability: Climb onto various types of industrial equipment, operate steering controls, hand levers, and foot pedals. Have excellent depth perception for maneuvering equipment in crowded areas. Frequently get on and off equipment. Use cutting pliers.
• Safety: Ensure guards are in place, follow lock-tag-try procedures, observe hazards, and adhere to plant and department safety rules.

• Demands: Physically demanding, outside
• Skills: Operate steering wheel, hydraulic levers, foot pedals, handheld scanner. Observe immediate area for hazards, tight spaces, pedestrians, etc.
