Shipping Office Assistant

Position Overview

Sofidel America of Duluth is currently seeking a Shipping-Office Assistant (SOA). We are searching for a dynamic candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long term role in a stable environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!

Job Responsibilities

• Check in inbound and outbound drivers by verifying identification and pickup information, recording arrivals in the logbook, and assigning dock doors.
• Perform accurate data entry in SAP upon completion of loading, bill orders accordingly, and ensure completed shipping paperwork is placed in the appropriate trailer.
• Communicate carrier estimated times of arrival and scheduling updates with the Transportation Office Assistant (TOA).
• Prepare and generate shipping labels for all small-package shipments.
• Cook up and communicate with internal departments outside of Transportation to support delivery and shipping requirements.
• Maintain and respond to emails in a timely manner; scan, file, and maintain shipping documentation; print orders for the following day; and promptly communicate operational issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.

Job Requirements

• A High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree a plus
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a shipping and receiving admin/clerk or similar position
• Knowledge of HACCP & OSHA standards
• Knowledge in SAP and MS Office
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills and abilities
