Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Cook with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory in the company’s tracking systems.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Aid in resolving shipping discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Support the shipping team with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in logistics or office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or office administration is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and shipping software is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is important.
- A basic knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures is beneficial.
