Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Cook with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory in the company’s tracking systems.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
  • Aid in resolving shipping discrepancies and issues promptly.
  • Support the shipping team with general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in logistics or office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or office administration is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and shipping software is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment is important.
  • A basic knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures is beneficial.
