About the Role
Responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency by safely transporting products, supplies, and commodities within the warehouse facility and truck/trailers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, ship, and receive various items.
- Transport materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Inspect and ensure accuracy of both incoming and outgoing product with BOL/Invoice.
- Ensure loads are properly stacked, secured, and adhere to company regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or RF scanners (training provided if needed).
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts prior to usage and report damages or repairs to direct supervisor.
- Complete all paperwork and submit all shipping documents (BOL or similar invoices) to the Shipping & Receiving manager.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Verify product quantities, quality, and labeling before shipment.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory control as needed.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with stand-up forklift/turret truck (required).
- Food manufacturing or warehouse experience (preferred).
- Forklift certification (turret truck & stand-up forklift).
- Ability to lift objects and stand for long periods of time.
- Attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and loading.
- Spatial awareness and excellent hand-eye coordination for working in limited spaces.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication) for record keeping.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal & written).
- Ability to follow instructions and all safety guidelines.
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.
- Shift differential included.
Pay
Starting wage: $19.50/hour (depending on experience).
