Shipping I - 2nd & 3rd Shifts - Hegins, PA

About the role

MI Windows and Doors is hiring full‑time Shipping/Forklift Drivers for 2nd and 3rd shifts at the Hegins Plant in PA. The position involves loading trucks, gathering components, wrapping/sorting products, and placing them for loaders, while operating a forklift and following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand orders; read job order for specifications of product.
• Understand the scanning system for loading trucks.
• Effectively communicate and actively participate within a goal‑orientated team environment.
• Obey all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Inspect work‑in‑process and finished units to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Understand loading process and responsibilities.
• Provide or actively participate in continued process improvements.
• Maintain regular punctual attendance.
• Learn product identification and how to secure product properly.
• Properly place products in appropriate locations.
• Operate a forklift.
• Wrap and stage product from EDL oven (optional includes increase).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Overtime required as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders.
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and understand a basic tape measure to an increment of 1/16 inch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent and sustained basis.
• Capability to stand and move frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Possess a collaborative, team‑driven attitude; good attendance record and team focus are critical.
• Be quality and precision‑driven, able to follow all quality and safety requirements.
• Have a customer service mentality and strong desire to meet daily production goals.
• Show strong reasoning and creative problem‑solving skills to overcome production challenges.

Pay

Starting rate is $21.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday‑Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (plus overtime as needed).
• 3rd Shift: Sunday pm – Thursday pm, 10:00 pm – 6:00
