Shipping Coordinator - Raw Materials - 1st shift - RDC

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator - Raw Materials - 1st shift - RDC at our new facility on Innovation Loop in Youngsville, NC. The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Core hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities

• Enter data for shipping/receiving orders and work with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to invoicing, shipping, and on-hand counts in the warehouse
• Ensure the accuracy of transaction documents for incoming/outgoing material
• Evaluate shipments for adherence to all state, federal, and global restrictions
• Serve as a resource manager system (SAP) expert on the team
• Schedule transportation for truckload and less than truckload shipments
• Assist the department in loading/unloading of trucks, scanning and tagging as needed
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas
• Use the principles of 5S+ to ensure a clean and organized work area
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required (Basic)

• One year of experience in logistics or a warehouse environment
• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred

• Previous experience using SAP
• Previous experience with forklifts
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers

Skills

• Ability to follow procedures and written instructions
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime; willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and bend frequently
