Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies.
- Organize and schedule truckloads with carriers and customers.
- Monitor shop order progress to create daily and next day shipping lists.
- Prepare daily shipping paperwork and lists using computer and manual forms.
- Pick stock shipments.
- Close out shipping bills.
- Communicate with Sales, Customers, and Logistics companies as needed.
- Load planning for truckload and LTL shipments and Target Freight, and maintain good working relationships with freight suppliers.
- Attend any productions meetings in the absence of the Shipping Supervisor.
- Understand the ISO system and elements that affect the job.
Equipment Knowledge
- Proficient with Windows-based computer applications.
- UPS & other shipping equipment and processes.
- Electronic scale.
Role Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years job experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Data entry experience.
- Must be fluent with ERP system as relevant to position.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks and proactive toward continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Ability to analyze problems and find effective solutions.
- Ability to work with all types of people and operate effectively in a team setting.
