Shipping Coordinator

About the role

The Shipping Coordinator executes and oversees daily shipping functions, including processing orders through various shipping systems, handling courier/LTL/USPS metered mail, and supporting Account Management in resolving customer shipment issues. The role involves daily carrier hand-offs, generating end-of-day reports, and maintaining high service and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily order processing through designated shipping/mailing systems.
• Coordinate changes in shipping methods as instructed by Management.
• Schedule pick-ups with various carrier/courier services.
• Review, investigate, and resolve shipment issues with carriers.
• Interact with carriers/couriers regarding shipment status and maintain communication with Management.
• Monitor shipping area and stations to verify all packages are processed correctly.
• Delegate and instruct shipping personnel to maintain service and productivity levels.
• Participate in process improvements and adhere to the Quality Management System.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of International Shipping Experience.
• At least 2 years using Microsoft Office; intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
• At least 3 years working with SAP or a similar Warehouse Management System (WMS).
