Shipping Coordinator

Location: St Marys, PA (15857) – Onsite, permanent full-time position.

The Shipping Coordinator manages all aspects of daily shipping functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in outgoing logistics while maintaining clear communication across departments and external transportation partners. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities

• Run and monitor open sales orders backlog reports; track packed material inventory levels and prepare shipments for timely dispatch.
• Coordinate dock activities: welcome arriving truck drivers and direct them to appropriate loading areas for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Generate and process accurate shipping documentation, including packing slips, address labels, and Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Maintain and update the shipping and sales inventory control system in real-time.
• Communicate daily operational changes (e.g., truck arrivals, delays, cancellations) to the shipping supervisor and team.
• Collaborate with internal departments to share critical shipment updates.
• Support inventory accuracy by participating in routine weekly and monthly inventory counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., JDE) preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills to manage a fast-paced shipping environment.
