Shipping Coordinator

About the Role

Assists the Logistics Manager with daily management of the product shipment cycle from carrier scheduling through loading and shipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a good reputation and relationship with carriers
• Ensure prompt loading of shipments
• Handle accurate paperwork and billing
• Develop the most cost-effective shipping options
• Front-line management of Shipping and Logistics hourly personnel
• Organize and maintain the finished goods warehouse
• Maintain a high degree of inventory accuracy, including frequent cycle counts
• Minimize handling damage and follow up on any issues
• Ensure efficient loading capability and track load times
• Provide leadership to the shipping team
• Maintain an accident-free work environment
• Increase operator capability through training
• Assign resources efficiently
• Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
• Assist Logistics Manager, Customer Service Representative, and Planner
• Interface with customers
• Handle order entry
• Maintain paper machine block scheduling
• Follow up on quality complaints with improvement plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• 2–4 years of logistics/traffic experience (preferred)
