SHIPPING COORDINATOR- 1st Shift

About the role

This position is responsible for billing out trucks after they are loaded and checked for accuracy according to customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Check loads after completion by Loaders to ensure they match customer orders.
• Enter necessary data into the computer to print bills for truck drivers.
• Enter data for tub counts into the computer (tubs sent and tubs received).
• Create USDA labels as needed.
• Monitor the number of boxes scanned by loaders to ensure all are accounted for.
• Assist in loading as needed.
• Perform minor repairs on computer/printer or contact the Business Systems Technician for assistance.
• Gather and organize orders prior to the start of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and supervision.

• Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using methodologies such as Six Sigma, and support the E$P program.
• Recognize and act on incidents and safety risks, consistently practicing and enforcing safe work habits.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn USDA and customer quality requirements for paperwork related to shipped products.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
