Shipping Clerk - Swing Shift

Responsibilities

- Schedules Company trucks - Coordinates in-bound carrier schedules - Communicates with Warehouse personnel regarding truck arrivals, order preparation, etc. - Prepares bill of ladings - Handles secondary dispatch of drivers - Communicates schedule and order issues to Sales department - Enters data associated with shipments including order closing, dispatch, etc. - Prepares outbound material loads - Coordinates with Operations staff to optimize shipping and inter-department efficiencies - Assists in training staff as needed - Participates in various department and inter-department projects

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED - Reliable, on-time availability - Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking - At least 2 years of shipping department or related experience - Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and related software - Prior customer service experience and knowledge of Lean and Kaizen principles preferred

Qualifications

- Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED - Reliable and punctual - Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Two years of relevant shipping experience or similar field experience - Proficient with computer systems and software - Previous customer service and Lean/Kaizen experience a plus

Skills

- Strong organizational skills - Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties - Proficiency with computer applications - Customer service orientation

Pay

$20.50 to $24.50 per hour, dependent on experience

Schedule

Swing Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
