About the Role
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust, debris, and can be loud at times. Responsible for preparing shipments and sometimes receiving incoming goods. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries, including requesting help from co-workers. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfilment: Pulling, prepping, and staging orders to ship out using an RF scanner.
- Packaging & Labeling: Packaging overlength freight via warehouse procedure and applying shipping labels/documents.
- Inventory: Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing items and keeping the warehouse organized.
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material, and correct size and specifications.
- Material Handler: Moving product from production to stock and organizing product using an RF scanner. Placing unused product back to stock.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Housekeeping: Keep your assigned area clean of debris/blockage daily.
- Loader/Unloader: Safely load customers with product, double-checking, and unload customers if needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Use and understand Microsoft Office (primarily Word and sometimes Excel), label software, and TMS software.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred; will be trained and certified on the hi-lo.
- One year of experience in dealing with overlength freight preferred.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to clear a drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $20.50 + $1.00 Shift Differential
Schedule
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Saturday night (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM) when needed.
